You do not need a referral to make a consultation appointment with us.
When you first visit our practice our friendly staff will greet you and ask you to complete a patient information form if you have not already done so. Please bring with you any referral letters, x-rays or diagnostic records that that you may have.
At your initial consultation, Dr Brooks will discuss your primary concerns, perform a thorough orthodontic examination and summarise the relevant findings for you. Treatment possibilities will be outlined and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions relating to your management.
Not all patients will require treatment immediately. If Dr Brooks anticipates that you or your child will require orthodontic treatment in the future, we will place them on an appropriate recall program so that we may closely monitor your facial, skeletal and dental development to establish the most appropriate time to commence treatment.
If orthodontic treatment is warranted and you wish to proceed further, diagnostic records would be obtained and we would arrange a subsequent treatment planning consultation for you. If you would prefer to do so, we may take diagnostic records at your initial consultation but this can be done at a subsequent appointment if that is more convenient.
